Glycolic Acid Peel

Glycolic acid is one of the most commonly used alpha-hydroxy acid peels. Glycolic peels treat melasma, hyperpigmentation, and fine lines with tremendous success. Depending on the strength chosen, glycolic peels range from superficial to moderate depth. With glycolic acid, there is only light to no visible peeling.

If you are searching for these general skin improvements, then glycolic acid is your choice. Glycolic is great for:

  • Fine lines

  • Mild sun damage.

  • Shallow acne scarring.

  • Keratosis Pilaris

Jessner Peel

The Jessner's Peel combines salicylic acid, lactic acid, and resorcinol. A medium-depth combination peel can be your solution when dealing with severe acne. The combination of Salicylic, Lactic, and Resorcinol creates a powerful reaction in the skin to help clear out pores and create medium skin sloughing. You will have about 3–4 days of peeling downtime.

What is a Jessner's peel good for? It’s the perfect choice for you to begin treating:

  • Sun Damage

  • Minor Hyperpigmentation

  • Minor Scarring

  • Fine Lines

  • Improves Elasticity

Salicylic Peel

Salicylic acid is a very potent pore cleaner and superficial peeling agent. Salicylic is an oil-soluble type of acid. It works nicely on acne and oily skin types to accelerate the turnover of skin cells, clear pores, and slow sebum production. With salicylic acid, there is only a light and possibly no visible peeling.

If you are searching for these general types of skin improvements, then salicylic is the acid choice for you.:

  • Blackheads

  • Whiteheads

  • Large pores

  • Oily skin

  • Pigmentation from blemishes

TCA Peel

TCA is considered "the gold standard"” a medium-depth peel.
TCA is a highly regarded acid and is perfect for treating the following common issues:

  • Blemishes

  • Moderate Hyperpigmentation

  • Texture Problems

  • Age Spots

  • Epidermal and some dermal melasma

  • Fine Wrinkles

  • Scarring and Acne Scars - icepick, rolling

*All skin types can benefit from TCA peeling. People prone to post-inflammatory hyper-pigmentation or naturally darker skin tone will need special pre-treatment to avoid unintended skin colour changes.

Whether you want to improve skin texture, soften fine lines, diminish pigmentation or decrease acne, combining your chemical peel with effective and preventative skincare will get you closer to your goal of beautiful skin.

Chemical Peel Q & A

  • After the skin is prepped and the peel is applied you and expect a mild to moderate stinging and heat sensation. This is relieved with a handheld fan.

  • There can be little to no peeling or up to three days of peeling depending on the type of chemical peel.

  • The use of bland cleansers and moisturizers and broad-spectrum SPF is essential.

You can resume the use of general skincare products after flaking and redness subside. Makeup can be worn to camouflage redness.

  • You’ll notice significant improvement immediately following your first Peel, but we recommend 3-6 treatments approximately 3-4 weeks apart for best results.

  • Those on Accutane or those who have used Accutane in the last 6 months should avoid any chemical peels. We also would ask that you avoid any topical retinoids/retinol/acids for approximately one week prior to your peel. We do not recommend this peel if you have an active herpes outbreak as symptoms can get worse. If you are prone to cold sores, pretreatment with an antiviral would be necessary. Lastly, we ask that you do not shave, wax, or thread your face two days prior procedure.
